WE were really disappointed with the Fable II Limited Collector’s Edition, because the originally announced content was replaced with a paper sleeve and some downloadable content. In 2010 Microsoft shipped the same version of the Fable III LCE as previously announced and this fact made us very happy.
The Fable III Limited Collector’s Edition is slightly similar to Alan Wake LCE, both releases were shipped in a book-shaped packaging, filled with lots of content. The Fable III book is a really stunning leather-covered item. Beneath the front page you can find the game itself in a black box with alternate cover. All other contents of the special release are in a hidden container, including the Guild Seal Coin with good and evil side to assist players in making critical decisions; plus a deck of playing cards decorated with characters from the game (including heroes, royals, rebels and villains from across Albion and beyond). The cards look like very old and torn paper pieces. The package also contains some DLC codes to unlock a new quest, an outfit, a new location and an exclusive dog breed.
The Fable III Limited Collector’s Edition is a beautiful release, manufactured from the finest materials. The extras are really relevant to the gameplay which makes the whole package very valuable.
